In the Anglican tradition, the priesthood is open to men and women, married or single, who have earned the Master of Divinity degree, completed a series of courses for ordinands, and gone through the discernment process.
The clergy of Christ Church consists of ordained priests and deacons, each of whom serves a staff function in addition to the role as pastor to our congregation.
The Rev. Canon David Roseberry
Rector of Christ Church, Provincial Canon for Mission
David is the Canon for Mission in the Anglican Church in North America and the founding pastor and rector of Christ Church. He and his wife, Fran, came to Plano in 1985 with the vision of planting a new church for the growing community. Christ Church was built on the principles of lay ministry, evangelistic preaching, and small group ministry. Fr. David is a 1982 graduate of the Church Divinity School of the Pacific and has been an ordained priest since 1983.
The Rev. Tripp Prince
Tripp serves as the Associate Rector of Christ Church. In addition to overseeing Adult and Family Ministry programs and staff, Tripp helps equip parents in their efforts to foster holy habits of faith in their children’s lives. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Kennesaw State University, a master’s degree from Regent College, and is currently pursuing doctoral studies in family ministry and catechesis at Nashotah House. Tripp and his wife Rachel have two daughters and one son.
The Rev. Jeff Rawn
Jeff oversees our Marriage Preparation and Marriage Enrichment programs, as well as providing pastoral oversight for our Missions and Outreach. He completed seminary studies at Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry and was ordained to the priesthood in 2000.
The Rev. Erick Arowo
Weekend Assistant Priest
Fr. Erick is an Anglican priest ordained by the Anglican Church of Kenya. Currently he is a Ph.D student in Old Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. While he is here for studies, Christ Church is a home and a base of ministry for him and his wife Caroline. His passion is teaching God’s Word, and He will serve as a part of our weekend clergy team. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical Studies from Kenya.
The Rev. Susan Freeman
Susan serves as Welcome Minister and oversees our orientation process for new members. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and has a Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. Susan was ordained to the Priesthood in 2010.
The Rev. Carol Brooks
Carol leads our Congregational Care Ministries which includes Grief Recovery, Divorce Care, Financial Peace University, Prayer Ministry, Lay Eucharistic Ministry to the Ill and Infirm, and funerals. She graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and earned a degree in ministry from the Anglican School of Theology in Dallas, TX. She completed training as a Pastoral Care Specialist at the Pastoral Counseling and Education Center in Dallas, TX under the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. She serves as a Chaplain with Victim Relief Ministries. Carol was ordained as a Deacon of the church in 2004.
The Rev. Taylor Ishii
Taylor leads our Student Ministry team that serves middle school and high school students. He graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical and Theological Studies and also graduated with a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. Taylor was ordained a Deacon in February 2015.
The Rev. Toni Brown
Toni serves as Deacon to the Senior Adults. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a BSBA in Finance and a Master’s of Professional Accountancy. She was ordained as a Deacon of the Church in August 2006. She is also a graduate of the Anglican School of Theology. Toni is currently a student at Dallas Theological Seminary pursuing a Master’s of Biblical Studies.
