Partnering with you in your child's formation
Following The Call update on our partnership with Meadows Elementary two weeks ago, great progress continues to take place in the school garden. As you can see from the photos:
The excitement for the Meadows Garden continues to grow, involving more and more people from the community.
The enthusiasm is contagious. This school garden project has clearly stimulated the imagination of a community. People have arrived to work at sunrise and there are some who have worked until 8 in the evening. Larry Holmes, along with a number of other volunteers – they rock! A huge shout-out for the garden team!
As we begin the 2015-2016 school year here at Meadows Elementary, we want you and the members of Christ Church to know that we count your partnership among our blessings. We have been completely overwhelmed by the time your volunteers have given to our school as well as everyone’s kindness and generosity.Today we received backpacks and a check to be used to purchase school supplies for our children. As you know, the help we have received as we build our school garden has been priceless. With you all, I do not think the garden would even be a reality. Already teachers are talking about how to incorporate the garden into the science, writing, and math curricula. The children are going to be so excited when they see how the side yard of the school has been transformed!I do not even begin to know how to thank you. Please convey my deepest gratitude and appreciation to all those who have helped. And keep the staff and students at Meadows Elementary in your thoughts as we develop this partnership.Thank you, thank you, thank you.Sincerely,Sandra MuzquizPrincipal
