Family Ministry

The Rev. Travis Wilson
Director of Family Ministry

One of the greatest gifts God gives his people is family. It is in families that we first understand what it means to be loved by a heavenly Father and to live with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. In Family Ministry, we partner with parents to grow our children and youth into the full life of the church family and become lifelong worshipers. We invite you and your kids to join us on our journey to the Lord.

As you visit Christ Church, please stop by our welcome desk in the Archgate Family Center and meet the Family Ministry staff. We would love to answer any questions you may have and get to know you better. May God bless you and your family!

First Communion (grade 2)

In the same way that eating meals together helps strengthen family bonds, Holy Communion helps strengthen God's family with His grace. Whether young or old, at God's Table, we are reminded of whose we are and how much we are loved.

In second grade, children attending Sunday School receive special instruction in Holy Communion. After our First Communion service in the spring, second grade and up join their parents weekly for Holy Communion as a habit of lifelong worship.

Middle School

Grades 6-8

Journey to Confirmation. Our three-year curriculum teaches students essential doctrines, ethics, and spirituality that equip them for lifelong worship. 8th grade students are invited to be Confirmed and join the adult community.

Confirmation (grade 8)

Growing up is full of milestones. Receiving a driver's license or working a first job add new joys and responsibilities to life. Similarly, Confirmation is milestone in the life of a young believer, an outward and visible sign of the maturity of one's faith.

Our Middle School Confirmation class follows a three-year curriculum that equips students for a life of worship, discipleship, community, and compassion. 8th grade students who are Confirmed in the spring become full members of Christ Church.

High School

Grades 9-12

Adult Opportunities. Young adults access the resources of the broader church for continued discipleship, with emphasis in leadership and service. Our Wednesday program provides mentoring and small group belonging.
