The Rev. Tripp Prince

Associate Rector

When I think about Family Ministry at Christ Church, this passage from Deuteronomy comes to mind:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:4-7).

For parents, this is God’s invitation: To love the Lord with all that we have, and to help our children do the same. It takes more than a few hours on Sunday, a passing comment, or a prayer during mealtime. The way we pass on the faith is by helping our children to encounter Christ in every area of life: whether that’s following Him at home, in school, on the sports team, or in the dance troupe.

At times this responsibility can seem overwhelming, but we are here to help! Whether your child is nursery age, in college, or somewhere in between, we have a team of gifted and faithful ministers who love your children and will support you in the work of raising them to maturity in Christ.

As helpful as a website can be, it will never replace a personal relationship or face-to-face conversation. Never hesitate to reach out to me or a team member. Let us know how we can partner with you as together we seek to faithfully follow Jesus.

Family Ministry

Christ Church Family Ministry partners with parents in the intentional, ongoing faith formation of children and students, from infancy through college.

We seek to do this by combining historic rhythms of discipleship with meaningful opportunities for students and families to live out their faith together. Our prayer is that by integrating these ministries into the broader worshipping life of our church family, our children and students are equipped to enter adulthood as life-long followers of Christ.
