Where to find Christ Church Plano »
Palm Sunday. Our worship services include corporate prayers, music, and teaching that lead the worshipper into the experience of Holy Week. On the same day, our children enjoy a Palm Sunday parade in the Sunday School building, dressing up in period costume and waving palm branches. Afterward, the children experience an age-appropriate version of the Stations of the Cross.
Holy Communion. On the night of Jesus's arrest, he gave us a remembrance of his sacrifice: the bread and wine of communion. Maundy Thursday service relives that evening's supper in the upper room and Christ's final words to his disciples. After taking Holy Communion together, we will reflect silently as the altar of the church is stripped bare in preparation for Good Friday.
Confession. The clergy of Christ Church Plano will be available for the sacramental rite of Confession and Reconciliation of Penitents. Private Confession invites us to get specific about our sin, seek accountability, and receive the healing grace of God in our lives. This is a great opportunity to end a Holy Lent.
Stations of the Cross. This traditional service guides participants through a series of 14 visual depictions of Christ's suffering and death. The journey begins with Jesus's betrayal in the garden of Gethsemane and culminates in his burial. Christ Church uses a book of scriptural selections and prayers to guide our experience of the Stations of the Cross.
Liturgy of the Passion. Please join us for this performance of the Passion narrative, commemorating Christ’s sacrifice for our salvation. The Very Rev. Canon Fr. Paul Donison orates with the congregation and Christ Church Choir and string orchestra accompany.
Family Easter Celebration. Families and friends of Christ Church are invited to gather in our courtyard for a casual time of fun, games, music, and conversation. This celebration is especially friendly for kids and creates an opportunity to interact around the themes and joy of Easter as a family.
Easter Services. Our Easter services celebrate the miracle of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead. Evidenced in history and confirmed through the testimony of his disciples, Jesus's resurrected life is the basis for all that we believe as Christians. Christ Church invites you to join us with family and friends to worship the risen Lord.
Our doors are always open to those in our neighborhood.
We support the work of parents, value children with us for worship, and provide excellent care for infants and toddlers. We serve a beautiful and diverse community. Join us for worship and meet our church family.
